This Policy explains:

2. What is a Cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of data that a website may store through a user’s browser or device.

Cookies can perform different functions.

For example, they may help a website:

  • Remember that a user has signed in.
  • Maintain a secure session.
  • Remember preferences.
  • Recognize certain browser or device information.
  • Understand whether a page or feature is functioning correctly.
  • Measure how the Service is being used.
  • Or support other legitimate website functionality.
  • Cookies are not all used for the same purpose.

THE EXISTENCE OF A COOKIE DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY MEAN THAT A USER IS BEING ADVERTISED TO OR TRACKED ACROSS THE INTERNET.
The purpose of the particular technology matters.

3. Our Cookie Principle

Sanctum Sound’s approach to cookies should follow a simple principle:

USE WHAT THE SERVICE REASONABLY NEEDS.

EXPLAIN WHAT IS BEING USED.

PROVIDE MEANINGFUL CHOICE WHERE CHOICE IS REQUIRED.

Genesis should not deploy unnecessary tracking merely because the technology exists.

Where a cookie or similar technology is necessary to:

  • Secure the Service.
  • Authenticate a user.
  • Maintain a requested session.
  • Remember a user’s privacy choices.
  • Process requested transactions.
  • Prevent fraud.
  • Or provide another function reasonably necessary for the Service requested by the user, it may need to operate for the Service to function properly.

Where a technology is not necessary and applicable law requires consent, Sanctum Sound should obtain the required consent before activating it.

4. Cookie Categories

Depending upon the final technologies selected for Genesis, Sanctum Sound may use cookies within the following categories:

STRICTLY NECESSARY
FUNCTIONAL
ANALYTICS & PERFORMANCE

and, only if introduced in the future,

ADVERTISING & TARGETING

The presence of a category in this Policy does not mean every possible technology within that category is necessarily deployed.
The final Cookie Preferences interface should accurately reflect what Genesis actually uses.
