These Community & Acceptable Use Guidelines (“Guidelines”) establish standards for lawful, respectful, secure, and responsible use of Sanctum Sound Genesis.

Genesis is primarily a music listening, discovery, membership, purchasing, and cultural experience.

It is not presently intended to launch as an unrestricted public social network or public artist-upload platform.

Nevertheless, users may interact with Sanctum Sound through:

  • Search.
  • Personal Libraries.
  • Playlists.
  • Membership.
  • Copyright procedures.
  • And other functionality.

2. The Sanctum Principle

Sanctum Sound is built around a simple principle:

ACCESS SHOULD COME WITH RESPONSIBILITY.

The ability to enter a platform does not create a right to:

  • Harm others.
  • Defraud people.
  • Misuse accounts.
  • Or interfere with another person’s lawful use of the Service.
  • It does not require tolerance of deliberate abuse.
  • Steal creative work.
  • Attack systems.
  • Manipulate transactions.
  • Sanctum Sound welcomes lawful participation.

3. Respect for People

Users should interact with Sanctum Sound, its personnel, artists, creators, partners, and other users without engaging in unlawful harassment, threats, intimidation, or abuse.

Disagreement is not automatically misconduct.
Criticism is not automatically harassment.
A negative opinion is not automatically abuse.
These Guidelines are not intended to require universal agreement.
They are intended to establish boundaries where conduct becomes materially harmful, threatening, unlawful, fraudulent, or disruptive.

RESPECT DOES NOT REQUIRE AGREEMENT.
IT REQUIRES RECOGNITION THAT OTHER PEOPLE ALSO HAVE RIGHTS.

4. Lawful Use

Users may not use Sanctum Sound to engage in, facilitate, promote, or materially assist unlawful activity.

Where conduct is prohibited by applicable law, the fact that the conduct occurs through a music platform does not make it permissible.

Sanctum Sound may take appropriate action where it reasonably determines that the Service is being used for unlawful purposes.

5. Account Responsibility

Registered Users and Paid Members are responsible for using their accounts responsibly.

Users should:

  • Protect account credentials.
  • Use accurate account information.
  • Keep relevant contact information reasonably current.
  • Report suspected account compromise.
  • Use payment methods they are authorized to use.
  • And comply with applicable account-security requirements.

Users should not knowingly allow their accounts to become tools for fraud, infringement, unauthorized access, or other prohibited conduct.
